200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training ~ Intensive Studies

September 2013 - March 2014 Weekends Program

with Caroline Kelley & Maile Sivert

The Mindful Body 200-hour Intensive Studies/Teacher Training, is a five month program that meets 2 - 3 weekends a month, and includes a residential retreat.

This is a classical yoga course, rooted in Patanjali's eightfold path. The curriculum is intended for advancing students who wish to deepen their practice and for aspiring teachers who are looking for a course that provides the tools with which to teach intelligently and confidently. This extensive curriculum will give certified teachers the freedom to become specialized in a particular area of yoga or to confidently teach a variety of styles.

This will be an intimate training offered by dedicated and supportive teachers. Participants will receive individual guidance on their path towards successfully completing the program.

This is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) course, certified by the Yoga Alliance.

This is a video from last years training, we are currently in the process of updating it.

TEACHERS

Maile and Caroline are the co-directors of this course. Their teaching experience and studies of classical yoga are extensive. Both consider Richard Freeman, a renowned Ashtanga yogi, to be their most influential teacher. An emphasis on healthy alignment, the use of props, modifications, breath awareness and yoga philosophy are key features in their classes. Independently, both Caroline and Maile have studied extensively in India and coincidently both received teachings from BNS Iyengar in Mysore.

They both offer weekly classes and mentorship to new teachers. Maile coordinates the yoga program at The Mindful Body and has offered popular international yoga retreats for the past nine years. Caroline is a specialized massage therapist. She teaches anatomy based yoga workshops and trainings.

They are delighted to join together in offering an intimate, student-focused training.
